Mr Raine-Fenning is one of our senior consultants at TFP Nurture Fertility and has been with us since 2000. He has over 25 years of experience in looking after patients with subfertility, including those undergoing IVF. As an active researcher, he has published over 160 scientific papers, many of which have led to changes in clinical practice and guidance. He served as the local lead for the eFreeze and Endoscratch clinical trials. Mr Raine-Fenning has a particular interest in women with endometriosis, uterine anomalies, and polycystic ovaries. He was part of the international collaboration that renamed the latter Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovulatory Syndrome (PMOS) in 2026, a change he has advocated for over many years.
Internationally, Mr Raine-Fenning is recognised for his expertise on ultrasound in fertility and early pregnancy. He has also delivered keynote lectures all around the world. He has served as an Executive Member of the British Fertility Society (BFS), the Reproductive Medicine Clinical Study Group (RM-CSG), the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG), and the Wellbeing of Women’s (WoW) Advisory Committee. Additionally, he serves as an advisor to NICE and the RCOG on matters of fertility and reproductive surgery, and he is an advocate for patient and public involvement in research through PREPARE, a patient-led group he established in 2012.
Mr Raine-Fenning is an experienced surgeon and operates at the Treatment Centre in Nottingham, where he sees NHS patients, many of whom come through TFP Nurture Fertility.
He is passionate about his work and strives to ensure every patient is treated as an individual, receiving sympathetic care and support throughout their treatment. Regardless of the challenges they face, he aims to make their journey as positive as possible, even when the outcomes may not align with their hopes.
